Rotary Sponsors Contest for Young Artists Friday, January 22, 2010
The Rotary Club of Ashland-Lithia Springs is sponsoring a t-shirt design contest for student-artists who attend schools in Ashland, grades K-12. This contest is meant to encourage local students to help their classmates and community.
The student who submits the winning design will receive a $200 award. His or her design will be featured on hundreds of t-shirts that will be given out at the club’s 14th annual CrabFest fundraising event to be held on February 27, 2010, at Southern Oregon University. Any student interested in submitting a design can go to the club’s website at www.lithiaspringsrotary.org to see the contest guidelines and download a contest application. Entry deadline is January 27, 2010. Proceeds from the CrabFest support youth programs and scholarships in the Rogue Valley.
